Changing a result

Games get reported wrong. Someone types 10–5 the wrong way round, nobody looks at it properly, and a fortnight later the table is wrong. Your organizer can fix that, and the app keeps a record of every fix.

The organizer's Competition tab, showing the season's rounds and the list of matches with their current state.

The three things an organizer can do

Edit the score

The usual one. The result was reported wrong, so it gets set to what actually happened and the standings catch up immediately.

Award a forfeit

For a game that never got played — somebody dropped out, or the round ran out. One side is given the win without a score being invented for it.

Void the game

The game doesn't count for anyone. Use it when a fixture shouldn't have existed, or when something went wrong that a score can't sensibly describe.

Every change is written down

This is the part that matters, and it isn't optional for the organizer. Whenever a settled result is changed, the app records what it was, what it became, who changed it and when — and keeps that entry even if the game is edited again later.

The log is visible to the league, not just to the person who made the change. A correction nobody can see is indistinguishable from a score that quietly changed on its own, and the second one is the thing that poisons a league.

It covers all three routes, including a plain edit made straight on the match. There is no way to change a settled result that skips the record — the app captures it at the point the row changes, not at the point somebody remembers to log it.

Leaving a note

A change can carry a short note, and it's worth using. "Reported backwards, both players agreed" turns an entry that looks like an organizer meddling into an obvious, boring correction. The note goes in the log alongside the before and after.

What a change does and doesn't move

Standings update straight away — the league table is always derived from results as they stand now, so a fixed score is reflected the moment it's saved. See Standings & tiebreakers.

Recaps don't change. A week's recap is frozen when the week closes, so a correction made in March doesn't rewrite what January's recap said, and anything already posted to your Discord channel stays as posted. That's deliberate — the recap is a record of what the league knew at the time. See Weekly recaps.

Players can't edit a confirmed result themselves. If a score is wrong, ask your organizer — and if your league asks for confirms and you haven't confirmed it yet, just don't confirm it.
