Season dates & AI limits
Two small things that come up once you're actually running a season: telling the app when it starts and ends, and understanding why the AI sometimes sits a post out.
Start and end dates
Both live in Organize → Settings, and both are optional. A season runs fine without them — but two things only work once they're set.
- Your season's public page shows its date range, so someone deciding whether to join can see whether they've missed it.
- The weekly recap counts down. "Three weeks left" is the line that makes people book their games.
Two rules the form applies. Clearing a date sets it back to not set, rather than storing something blank — so you can always undo one. And an end date before the start date is refused with a message rather than saved, because that season can't exist and everything derived from it would be nonsense.
These are the season's advertised dates, not a gate. Nothing locks when the end date passes; finishing a season is still something you do deliberately.
Why the AI sometimes doesn't write
If your league has AI writing switched on, you may occasionally get a result post or a recap with the facts and no prose. That is expected behaviour rather than a fault, and it is worth knowing which of a few reasons it was.
Every league gets a fixed number of AI sentences per day. A busy Saturday can use them up. It resets the next day, and one league running out never affects another.
Anything the AI produces is checked for explicit language before it is posted. If it trips, the prose is dropped rather than cleaned up.
In every case the post still goes out. The result, the score, the standings link — all of it is written by the app, not the model, so it never depends on the AI working. Only the flourish is missing.
Preview allowances
The three tuning benches — the recap preview, and the match and quest simulations — cost real money each time you press them, so they share one daily allowance rather than having one each.
- 10 a day per season, which is enough to spend an afternoon getting a season's scene right.
- 25 a day per account, across every league you run. Higher than the per-season number on purpose, so running three leagues doesn't leave you rationing.
A preview needs room under both. If one refuses you, it says which — worth reading, because waiting until tomorrow fixes one of them and switching seasons fixes the other.
None of this touches the automatic posts your league gets. Previews are the only thing you can spend by pressing a button, which is why they're the only thing with a visible number. See Weekly recaps and Discord.
