Leagues & seasons
Two words show up everywhere in the app — league and season. They are not the same thing, and the difference is worth a minute.
The long-running thing — your group, your shop's ladder, your crew. It's tied to one game (Kill Team or 40K), it keeps the same name year on year, and it's where players live. Think of it as the banner everything hangs under.
A single bounded campaign inside a league — a set number of rounds, a schedule, a table of standings, and finals at the end. When it finishes you start a fresh one. All the games, results, and awards belong to a season, not the league.
How they fit together
- One league, many seasons. A league holds a stack of seasons — spring, summer, autumn, or just Season 1, 2, 3. Only one is usually live at a time; the rest are history.
- Everything that's played lives in a season. Rounds, the schedule, standings, scoring rules, quests, and awards are all set per season. Change the round count or points for one season and earlier seasons are untouched.
- Players join the league, then play each season. An invite code brings a player into the league; from there they're rostered into whichever season is running.
So, day to day
Make the league once — name and game. After that you mostly work in seasons: spin up a new one when a campaign starts, run its rounds, crown its finals, then open the next. From the admin home you create leagues; you add and manage seasons from inside each league's season pages.
New here? Each season carries its own standings, schedule, and awards — the league is just the home they all share.
